Dallas lawyer Rachel Lindsay is America's first black 'Bachelorette'

WATCH: See Rachel Lindsay as The Bachelorette During First Taping: Plus, Here Are Some of Her Suitors On Set! On a conference call with reporters, she said there was some pressure when it came to being the first African-American at the center of a Bachelorette season.

Noting that she got engaged "on the show", Rachel went on to talk about what led her to speak out about it so early. "I want children", she told one of the men.

"When I was first approached I couldn't believe it, but I was also very nervous, because to be the first at anything that's terrifying", Lindsay told National Public Radio in an interview that aired Monday. He said his ideal mate's personality like would be "Outgoing, people person, funny, crazy, calm, cool, loud, funny, geeky but cool like The Fonz", referring to the nickname of the character played by Henry Winkler on the 1974- 84 ABC comedy "Happy Days".

"This season is already surpassing the other seasons". Now engaged to the suitor of her choice, the Dallas-based lawyer made both her happiness and her views on diversity clear during interviews promoting the new season. Of course, she can't tell who her fiance is but as always, thanks to Reality Steve and his trusty spoilers, we know who her entire final four is and who she is engaged to!

After telling Nick she felt she was being ignored in episode 4, Rachel earned herself her first one-on-one date with the Wisconsin native in the following episode.

Bryan, 27. Meet Bryan, a Spanish-speaking chiropractor who makes a very audible "muah" sound when he kisses Rachel's cheek. C'mon, Anthony. You could do so much better for yourself in this hypothetical situation. "I think that Rachel will get my humor". We did have, in all seriousness, some drama happen and some things were pretty wild, and one of the producers and I looked at each other and I was like, "I love this show!" She added that she loved how direct he had been and how he had taken control of the conversation.

Don't want to know who went home on The Bachelorette Season 13 tonight?

Those opinions, however, do not determine the last man standing for Rachel. A San Francisco resident who is into Bollywood dancing, a guy nicknamed Diggy who is really into fashion (he owns 575 pairs of sneakers) and some lunkhead who brags about "the amazingness of my penis". But she obviously liked it, giving Bryan the crucial "first impression" rose later in the evening.

The Bachelorette returns to ABC on May 22 with a two-hour special beginning at 9 p.m.
